“But I’m the real Spiderman,” whispered Tobey Maguire
I like reading Spider-Man again. (Let’s keep the story short: I’ve had a bit of an issue with the story arc in the past 2 years or so, but it’s all fine now.) It’s not something I do because I feel like I have to. I actually loved the feeling I got after I finished reading The Amazing Spider-Man #641 & #642.
And I guess it’s because there’s something about Peter. (More precisely; there is something about Peter again.)
Yeah, maybe Spider-Man is one of the greatest heroes of all time. Maybe he sacrifices a lot for his loved ones and maybe he has awesome powers.
But maybe Peter Parker is just as un-awesome as I am, maybe he is as broke as I am, maybe his relationships don’t go as planned, he’s got no money, no job and the rest of his clean clothes are gone. But most of the time, maybe Peter Parker is almost screaming “I am you” while he is just being Peter Parker. Not Spider-Man, but Peter fucking Parker.
And you know what? Every time he is broke, can’t pay his rent, is looking for a job with no avail and life just kicks him around, he still pulls through.
Not because he is The Amazing Spider-Man.
But because he is Peter fucking Parker.
I’m just going to go ahead and bring this back too

bahahaha he is the only redeeming thing in Raimi’s trilogy
